Evergreen Christmas Tree Farm is located at 7811 Wellington Rd#22 Guelph, ON right in between Guelph and Fergus and service the other surrounding towns of Erin, Elora, and Rockwood. They grow Balsam Fir, White Spruce, White Pine and Blue Spruce on their beautiful 28 acre farm. This farm was bought by the Hartman Family in 2001 but it took a few years to grow the trees and build the inventory in order to sell to the public. Every year 1500-2000 seedlings are carefully planted and pruned by the Hartman Family. If you any advice, the owners are very friendly and more than happy to help you out. Bring the family to enjoy a truly unforgettable day in the country. You may choose and cut your own Christmas tree, purchase from a selection of fresh cut trees or simply come out and browse through the gift shop inside the Barn. Sip hot apple cider in the cafe, roast marshmallows and enjoy the warmth of the outdoor fire pit. The Barn sells fresh wreaths, green arrangements, birch poles and urn filler as well as featuring the work of local artisans with arts, crafts, bath products, jewellery, scarves, chocolate, candy and preserves. What else could you ask for? The Evergreen Christmas Tree Farm is open for the Christmas season starting in mid November up until Christmas Eve, Friday to Sunday. Check their website or Facebook page for more info or to find out their hours. Fresh cut Christmas trees are an environmentally friendly way to celebrate the season. They supply a generous amount of oxygen to the environment, smell wonderful and provide habitats for birds, rabbits and deer. The trees can be recycled into chip mulch for your garden, which Waterloo Region and the City of Guelph are very big on doing. Take a look at this video to learn a bit more about the environmental impact of fake vs real trees. Not only can you do all of the above but it is also a great place to have your family Christmas photos taken. I was lucky enough to host Christmas Minis for the 2019 season. I really hope to be making this a yearly thing. I think the pictures turned out great, what do you think? Take a look below at the photos. Enjoy! - connect with me below -
